Take a Class

ACT Fall Classes

Don’t tell the kids, but ACT online classes this fall will seamlessly integrate mindfulness and spatial awareness using age-appropriate theatre games and creative movement activities. It’s a first step down the path of increased self-awareness and understanding no matter what age a child decides to try acting. Learning to collaborate with others, confidently express themselves, and develop an appreciation for the performing arts is all part of the experience. Classes lead to a video presentation that is given to families to share with relatives after the final class. Our goal is for increased confidence and solid self-expression skills in the classroom, onstage and beyond!

Famous Characters & Scenes!

Mondays 11:00 -12:00

8 - 12 year olds

September 19 - November 16th

From Peter Pan to Charlotte’s Web, Harry Potter to The Princess Bride -  young actors will LOVE working on their acting skills using scenes from stories they know and enjoy. And because it’s Fall, we’ll learn a bit of The Raven too! Young actors will find things at home to create simple costumes and props to create the setting of their scenes, and then we’ll film the final class so that parents can share the video with friends and family. Both experienced actors and those just starting out will have fun each week as they collaborate on different scenes and develop characters together. Participants should be comfortable reading in front of others.

Students will learn some fun choreography and the words to some of their favorite songs from beloved films in this fun-filled class. Each week we’ll move a bit, do some singing, and some acting too! It doesn’t matter if children have never taken a dance class before, they’ll learn basic steps with us. We’ll also play theatre games each week and laugh a lot! Our final class will be filmed so parents can share the video with families.
