Summer Camps 

All summer camps are held at Burgundy Farm Country Day School and include a swimming lesson in the saltwater pool Monday - Thursday with free swim on Friday. Camp drop-off is between 8-8:30 am and runs until 3pm. Aftercare is available for an additional cost.

Nail Your Musical Theatre Audition!

(9-12 year olds)

July 6th

Taught by Cathy Manley and Matt Brady, experienced musical theatre professionals who work on local community theatre productions and teach at Burgundy Farm school. This camp is for young actors interested in trying out for local shows. Students learn what it takes to get a part, starting from the moment they walk in to audition. Cathy and Matt love sharing their tips with young thespians! Students will leave camp with a song for future auditions, and perform a short musical revue for families on Friday. Campers will have ability-based swim lessons each day too.

Scenes from Narnia

July 13

This camp is for students who love The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and who want to act out scenes from the stories! Taught by ACT founder and veteran drama instructor Roberta Cullen. Improv activities and theatre games will build confidence through the week, and families will be invited to a presentation onstage Friday afternoon! All campers will have an ability-based swim lesson each day.

Journey to Hogwarts!

Harry Potter fans unite! This fun immersive camp includes learning spells, learning scenes from the stories, eating chocolate frogs and drinking butter beer (plus a few other food surprises!) Taught by Melissa Wilson. Acting games and improv activities with a Hogwarts theme are part of each day as well as an ability-based swim lesson. Scenes from Harry Potter stories will be performed onstage for families on that Friday.

Be a Triple Threat!

July 27th

 

Fabulous musical theatre professionals Cathy Manley and Matt Brady will help your child shine onstage! In this intro to musical theatre camp, singing, dancing and acting all combine to help make your child a “triple threat" . Beginners are welcome to join the fun! Everyone will learn some choreography, a song and a scene that ties it all together in this fun camp for students interested in trying musical theatre. Campers will also have an ability-based swim lesson each day. On Friday families will see their star onstage in a musical revue, and campers will be ready to try out for local theatre productions this fall!

Over the Rainbow

The Wizard of Oz is the theme of this fun-filled camp that takes the essence of the beloved classic and trims it down to a 15 minute performance! Basic dancing and singing are included, as well as improv activities and theatre games that help campers learn acting skills. Students will make a model shoebox "set" design and paint the background for their skit. Campers have an ability-based swimming lesson each day. Families see the show on Friday!

Night at the Zoo

July 13th

 

Based on the story Goodnight Gorilla, but these animals do a bit of singing and dancing too! Acting basics, movement and singing are included, as well as improv activities and theatre games that help students learn acting skills. Campers will make a shoebox "set" design and paint the background for their skit. Campers have an ability-based swim lesson each day. Families see the show on Friday afternoon!

The Mischievous Unicorn

Are unicorns always friendly and kind? In this fairy tale mash-up many familiar characters will find out for themselves! Improv activities and theatre games help campers learn basic acting skills. In between practicing their parts for the performance on Friday, campers will make a model shoebox "set" design, paint the background for their skit, and enjoy a Tea party during the week. Includes a daily ability-based swim lesson. Prepare to laugh at Friday’s show!
