Take a Class
Winter Session 2025
Saturdays, January 18th - March 15th
Burgundy Farm Country Day School
ACT classes seamlessly integrate mindfulness and spatial awareness using theatre games and creative movement activities. Learning to collaborate with others, confidently express themselves, and develop an appreciation for the performing arts is all part of the experience. Our goal is to help children develop increased confidence, creativity, and self-expression skills whether onstage or at school. Come Play with Us!

Frosty Fun for Little Ones!
Ages 4 - 5 | Saturdays | 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Do you want to build a Snowman? In this class we'll explore beloved winter stories like The Snowman, The Snowy Day, and Frozen through a variety of creative drama, music, creative movement, and art activities.
Students will use their bodies, voices, and imaginations as they bring the stories used in class to life each week. Working together, we'll create a winter story of our own and learn some simple choreography to a familiar song or two. Families will be invited to a little "sharing" onstage at the final class. Dress-up clothes are welcome each week too!

Act Out the Story
Ages 6 - 8 | Saturdays | 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
The first half of the session, young actors will play confidence-building theatre games and boost their self-expression skills using creative movement and vocal activities. They’ll listen to a story each week and bring the characters to life. In the second half of the session, they’ll be playing theatre games and working on a story to be performed for families in March

Improv for All
Ages 9 - 12 | Saturdays | 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Students will expand their creativity as they learn to think on the spot and share their ideas in this fun class where there are no wrong answers! Instructor Brandon Johnson knows that collaboration and teamwork skills grow when classmates work together, and those skills extend to school projects and presentations too. Beginners and those who’ve taken an Improv class before will expand their skills because every class is different. There will be an Improv showcase at the last class for families and friends. Come play with us!
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Classes

Winter Fun on the Farm
Ages 4 - 5 | Saturdays | 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
In this special class for our youngest actors, we'll use the themes of winter and a farm to develop creativity and confidence. Students will hear a different story from our theme each week and then act it out using creative movement and vocalization skills.
This class is an excellent introduction to imaginary worlds with talking animals, hibernation, and some simple songs. We'll help your child find the joy in acting and pretending!
